SwapSimple is a secure, online trading service which gives you the ability to
trade the books, DVDs, and video games you have, for other
ones you want - and all without any buying or selling. Simply list the stuff you have, instantly receive
Trade Credits equal to your item's current market value, then use those Credits to order other
items from people all across the SwapSimple network. Using SwapSimple, you can trade items in any
combination, without limitation. So just because you list a book, doesn't mean you can only get books in return - you can get whatever types
of items you want. That's what makes SwapSimple so effective, and so fun!

SwapSimple is currently available to all residents of the United States that are at least 18 years of age.
You do not need to be a student to use SwapSimple.
How does SwapSimple work? back to top
SwapSimple's exchange system is simple to use, and simple to understand.
List the books, DVDs, or video games you no longer need. At the time you list them, SwapSimple
figures out their current market value, and instantly awards you Trade Credits
in that amount. You can then use those Trade Credits to order any number of
other items from SwapSimple users all across the United States.
When another SwapSimple user orders one of your items, you simply print
out a prepaid and preaddressed mailing label from the SwapSimple website
(at no cost to you), tape the label to your package, and drop it off at
your nearest mailbox (for items under 1 lb) or local USPS Post Office - no buying postage, or
waiting in line at the post office. Just tape the label to the package and mail the item.

Add friends to your personal swap network and

their friends' friends too! For those people not in
your network - items 10 Credits or less are FREE to
swap, 11-20 are $1 to swap, and 21+ are $2 to swap.
There are never any membership fees, or hidden charges -

How long does it take to receive an item? back to top
Once you order a book, DVD, or video game, we require our users to ship it to you within
3 business days. Depending upon the shipping priority you select,
it could take anywhere from a few days, to two weeks thereafter to receive it.
What guarantees are there? back to top
All trades on SwapSimple are guaranteed 100% - no questions asked. This means that if you are
unhappy with a trade, for any reason, we will give you a full refund so that you
can order another item(s) of your choice.
What are instant Trade Credits and how do I get them? back to top
When you list an item for exchange on SwapSimple (book, DVD, or video game), we immediately, at the time you hit "enter", determine the item's
current market value and award you Trade Credits instantly. You can then immediately use those Trade
Credits to order any number of other items on the SwapSimple network.
This allows you to literally list items, and order items all in the same sitting if you desire. Any remaining
Trade Credits are left in your personal account for future use.

You can list any book, DVD, or video game you own but no longer need, pursuant to our user agreement.
SwapSimple does not support the exchange of pornography, or materials that infringe on copyright laws.
How many items can I list? back to top
You are welcome to list an unlimited number of books, DVDs, or video games for exchange.
How many Trade Credits do I get? back to top
SwapSimple uses a number of methods to determine the current market value for the items you list.
Remember that all books, DVDs, and video games listed for exchange on SwapSimple are valued using the exact same criteria,
so if you post an item worth $100.00, you will be given Trade Credits to enable you to order $100.00
worth of other items. Any Trade Credits remaining will be left in your account for future use.
Can I remove an item I listed? back to top
You can cancel your account, and/or remove or replace any item you list at any time. Please see our User Agreement for details. In general, what our User Agreement will tell you is that you need to give back at least as much as you take.

What are the "Quality Categories" for Books? back to top
SwapSimple uses Quality Categories to determine the condition of all books, DVDs, and video games listed for exchange. When you
list an item for exchange, you will be required to assign one of the following quality categories to the item:
Quality Categories for all books:
Excellent.
Barely used, in original wrapping or
unwrapped, cover undamaged, binding undamaged, pages undamaged, no folded or
torn pages, no missing pages, no markings or writing, no highlighting or
underlining. All text can be read.
Very Good.
Lightly used, cover not noticeably damaged,
binding undamaged, pages undamaged, no folded or torn pages, no missing pages,
minimal markings, minimal highlighting and underlining. All text can be read.

Good.
Moderately used, cover slightly damaged, slightly
bent corners, binding may show slight wear, minimal folded or torn pages, no
missing pages, minimal markings, moderate highlighting and underlining. All text can be read.
Fair.
Heavily used, cover damaged, bent corners, binding
cracked and worn, minimal folded or torn pages, no missing pages, excessive
markings, excessive highlighting and underlining, minor stains. All text can still be read.
Unacceptable.
Unacceptable books are not part of SwapSimple.com.
Abused, Cover badly damaged or missing, Excessive damage to
pages, Missing pages, Excessive markings obscuring text, Excessive highlighting
and underlining, Heavy stains, Some text is obscured and cannot be read.

What are the "Quality Categories" for
DVDs and Video Games? back to top
SwapSimple uses Quality Categories to determine the condition of all DVDs, and video games listed for exchange. When you
list an item for exchange, you will be required to assign one of the following quality categories to the item:
Quality Categories for all DVDs and video games:
Excellent.
Like new, barely used, in original wrapping or unwrapped, cover, case, box or jewel
case undamaged, all aspects of item are intact, all cover art, liner notes, case,
box and instructions included and undamaged, no wear or scratches on items and no skipping.
Very Good.
Lightly used, cover, case, box or jewel case slightly damaged, all aspects of item are intact,
all cover art, liner notes, case, box and instructions included and lightly worn, no wear or
scratches on items and no skipping.

Good.
Moderately used, cover, case, box or jewel case with minor damage, all aspects of item are
intact, all cover art, liner notes, case, box and instructions included and moderately worn,
no wear or scratches on items and no skipping.
Fair.
Heavily used, cover, case, box or jewel case with major damage, cover art, liner notes,
case, box and instructions not included or extremely worn, very minor wear or scratches
on items and NO SKIPPING.
Unacceptable.
Unacceptable items are not part of SwapSimple.com
Abused or scratched DVDs or Video Games, items which are not usable as intended, or
items which skip are all unacceptable.

What is "future availability?" back to top
If you are currently using a book, DVD, or video game, but plan on being finished with it at a particular time,
you can go ahead and list it for exchange, being sure to set the availability date to some
time in the future. When that date arrives, you will be awarded instant Trade Credits for
that item, and it will be automatically listed for trade.

Using SwapSimple, you can exchange all books with a valid ISBN, and all DVDs and video games.
Pornography or materials that infringe on copyrights are not allowed to be exchanged using SwapSimple.
Shipping explained - What happens when someone orders one of the items I listed? back to top
When another SwapSimple user orders one of your listed items, you will immediately receive an email notification,
sent to the email address you registered with. At that time you simply login to your SwapSimple account, print
out a prepaid and preaddressed shipping label from your printer (at no cost to you), package your item in a
standard padded shipping envelope, and drop it off at your nearest USPS mailbox or Post Office.
What are the rules for listing items? back to top
To keep your account in good standing, and insure that everyone receives items they order in a timely manner, we require
items to be shipped within three days of receiving email notification. Also, we ask that you notify us via email if
you are going on vacation or will similarly be unable to ship items for an extended period of time.
How do I find what I am looking for? back to top
Currently you have three ways to find the items you need on SwapSimple:
You can search for specific books, DVDs, or video games using that item's
or
, you can perform a
general search by title or keyword, or you can browse all items available for
exchange by the first letter of the item's title, by subject, or date listed.
How do I obtain Trade Credits? back to top
Immediately upon listing a book, DVD, or video game for exchange, you will receive Trade Credits
in an amount equivalent to 20% of the items current market value - the other 80% will be awarded when your item is
ordered and you send it to another user.
Remember that Trade Credits are awarded right when you list an item, before you ever need to
send it anywhere, allowing you to list items and get the items you need all in the same sitting if desired.

Can I track my item's progress once I order it? back to top
Yes! Once the item you ordered is placed in the mail, SwapSimple emails you a tracking number from the USPS. You
can then use that tracking number to monitor the progress of your item as it makes its way to you.
What kind of shipping options do you provide? back to top
Currently SwapSimple provides support for shipping by the United States Postal Service. All shipping is provided to you at our cost
in order to get you your items as inexpensively as possible.
These options include:
USPS Media Mail
This is the least expensive shipping service available today. Depending upon the distance the package needs
to travel, it can take 2 to 20 days to arrive - with 4 being the norm.
USPS Priority Mail
This option guarantees that the package will arrive in 2 to 4 days, but is a bit more expensive than USPS Media Mail.
What if you don't currently have the item I want? back to top
If we currently do not have a specific item you're looking for, you can easily add it to your
personal Wishlist. Once another SwapSimple user lists that item for exchange, you will
receive an email to let you know that it is now available for exchange.
