We're re-designing your logged in homepage. What features and information do you want us to put on it?
We are currently in the process of re-designing the logged in homepage (the page you see as your homepage once you're logged in). Please let us know what features and information you would like to see there.
We can pretty much do whatever you want, so let us know what would make your experience as productive, easy, fun, and interesting as possible.
The more you suggest, the better the conversation - and features - will be.
Thanks gang!

This is sort of off topic, but it would be great if you could have the site remember our login. I'd like to be able to go straight to my homepage each day without having to login every time.

Thanks for the feedback!
As handy as a "remember my login info" feature is, it does open things up to potential security issues.
We have many community members logging in from school libraries and such, and it seemed to us that by having a "remember" feature, it would greatly increase the odds of someone accidentally leaving their login info on a public computer, at a friends house, etc.
However, it would be a nice feature. I'll suggest it to the team and see what we can come up with.
Thanks! :-)

As for remembering your login, use Mozilla Firefox... it has a function for that.

It would be nice if there was a way to show others quickly what we have listed to trade. We could post a message to the forum. "If you are interested in xyz, check out my pages at ">>>>>"

We actually have a link that you can email people, or post in forums, websites, etc. that will take people directly to your SwapSimple user profile. From there they can see all your listed items. You can find this link in your logged in personal profile page.
We are also working on a bit of code that you can embed in a fourm post, webpage, etc. that will give a list of your posted items - fed live from SwapSimple. This feature is not on the immediate to-do list, so if you know anyone who is a Java programmer and willing to donate some time, I'd be more than happy to let them work on it. Otherwise, it may be a little while. :-)
Thanks for the great feedback!

Is there a way (here or on another logged-in page or tab) to list "Most Requested Books and DVDs"? So people, especially newcomers, would know what sorts of items move the fastest?

We are actually adding a way so that you can see just exactly that: a list of the "most wanted" items, as well as a way to browse the entire collective wishlist of the site.
I think it should be pretty helpful.
